Fast Gains Routine - Jack Delinger

This article goes on and on in the intro about the unquestionable superiority of the Weider System in all ways, virtually eliminating the need for being your own guinea pig and thereby, missing what some see as the whole point of this endeavor: Learning about yourself, how your body and mind work, and how you can improve certain aspects of that according to your chosen desires.

The cover shouts out "Stop Being a Physical Dwarf" and
"You Can be Handsome and Popular."

Anyhow . . . "now for the exercises . . ."

1) Wide-Grip Bench Press - strict performance, back as flat as possible, a little bridging to get out the last few reps. Use a weight you can handle for a hard 3x12 and increase the poundage as soon as these three sets become easy.

2) Standing Dumbbell Curl - keep the upper arms tight against the body and only use a loose style if the last couple of reps are tough. Start with weight you  can handle for 3x12 and increase as above.

3) Incline DB Bench Press - Palms forward, no arching unless the last one or two reps are hard. Same progression as above.

4) One-Arm Bent Row - Support yourself with the non-working arm on something solid. Pull till the bell is level with shoulder, elbow points back and slightly out. Perform rhythmically. Same progression.

5) Flyes - arms bent considerably throughout, pause at the stretch position (arms level with body). Same progression.

6) Standing Cheat Side Laterals - lean forward and suddenly return it to upright, at the same time raising the dumbbells up sideways until your arms are level with your shoulders. The body motion is used to get the dumbbells up; they are lowered slowly and with as much control as possible. When doing cheat laterals, try them with palms facing forward and see how that works for you. Same progression.

7) Full Squat - 3x12, try to increase the poundage as often as possible without resorting to a quarter-squat or half-assed good morning squat.

8) Straight-Arm Barbell Pullover - go directly from the squat to the pullover while still winded. Elbows locked, 3x15, and force in as much air as possible before exhaling strongly.

9) Calf Raise Variation: 3x20, pump out the reps rhythmically.

Now then . . . for that almost-individual touch here.

A slight variation on the cover's shouted promises.

"Become a Physical Dwarf" . . .
"You Can be Unappealing, Alienated and Not Give a Shit!"

Start by slumping when you stand, sit or walk. This will give the appearance of being smaller than you are. Lean out to an absurd level. Lose weight.

Never show your full physical strength publicly.

Buy loose-fitting clothes that make you unnoticeable. Not baggy gym outfit crap, wear dopey looking outfits that lead people to either not even see you or choose to leave you alone if they do.

We at TTSDB aim to offer not just the standard "self-improvement" line of BS; no, no siree, we at the TTSDB Research Clinic offices (pictured above and below) can turn your tiresome popular life into one of more introspection and hopefully disdain for the flat and tiresome same-old, same-old perception of what a successful, happy man is.
